This workshop is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Discover the power of your breath to tone your core and align your posture from the inside out. Michaelle Edwards, creator of YogAlign and FitAlign posture trainings, has been teaching for more than two decades, employing a teaching style that is experiential, educational, and fun.
All participants will receive a before and after photograph of their posture and a free copy of the YogAlign E-book, a 400 page book with all the details about YogAlign instruction.
Posture Alignment affects every system in the body including your respiratory system, but also the cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine, lymph, immune, and digestive systems. Attaining strong, upright posture can lead to a reduction in chronic pain, arthritis and joint dysfunctions. You can easily acquire tools using the movements of your breath to tone your trunk muscles, which stabilizes your posture and can then better support spine and joint stability, helping restore balance and agility in your movement. YogAlign is a somatic based educational program designed to change the brain’s innate software for movement, creating better neuromuscular patterns and body perception in daily life.
YogAlign is safe, comfortable, and involves no uncomfortable poses or difficult stretching exercise. You will learn to do comfortable functional exercises using every day body positions that are safe, easy to do, and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Yoga teachers, massage and physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, fitness, dance and movement educators will find these techniques to be particularly valuable and useful for their students and clients.
